Devotion: Giving All Glory To God

God is going to ask you to do things, ON HIS TERMS, that will be humanly impossible. Why? Because He wants all the glory and for you not to take any credit for your success or victory. God asked Gideon to do the impossible. To take a tiny pitiful in number army and attack the huge Mideonite army.

Devotion: Family Won’t Always Agree

When God asks us to do things it doesn’t mean everyone agree and that includes our family. It is hard not having your family on board with you let alone doing God’s will. Gideon knew what it felt like to not have his family agree with what the Lord was asking him to do. But he did it any way.
Judges 6

Devotion: Trusting Man Over God

It is so much easier to trust what man says or trust in man over trusting God. It is hard but the Lord still wants us to trust in Him when he says do something. Coming from the story of Deborah and Barak, in the book of Judges.
Judges 4

Devotion: Wholeheartedly Following God

When we Wholeheartedly Follow God it will pour out in our actions and words. The condition of your heart will reflect in your actions. Caleb was a man that wholeheartedly followed God no matter what and it showed in everything he did. God wants us to have a heart fully devoted to Him. He wants us to give him our whole heart! Where is your heart in regards to the Lord?
Joshua 14

Devotion: Strange Orders

I have found that God isn’t usually logical or rational with things He asks us to do. For Joshua and the Israelites He asked them to walk around the wall of Jericho for 7 days to start a battle. Now that if is not Strange Orders I don’t know what is. The Lord wants to partner with you in doing things: He will give you the easy job while he takes the hard job. And the only thing you need to do is obey his orders.
Joshua 6

Devotion: Faith of a Prostitute

If God can use a prostitute to spare the lives of two Israelite spies, save herself, save her family and be in the linage of Jesus then God can use anyone to further His kingdom and bring people to know Him. Come from the story of Rahab who hid the two Israeli spies.

Walking By Faith

I love Walking By Faith! For 11 years I was a missionary that never got paid, trusted God for everything and walked by faith believing God would take care of everything I needed whether personal needs or ministry needs. I wrote my journey down in a book called “One Yes” and in this video I share a little bit about what I wrote

Devotion: Real Faith

It doesn’t matter if you just gave your life to the Lord or if you have been walking with Him a long time Real Faith is when He requires of you to do something and you believe with God’s help all things are possible. Joshua and Caleb had real faith. Even though the other spies didn’t believe God could conquer the land with them Joshua and Caleb did. And because of their faith they got to go into the Promised Land.
Numbers 14

Devotion: Lack of Faith In God

When God asks us to do something it is going to require faith and trust in Him. What are we going to do walk away or move forward with God? The Israelites had a lack of Faith in God and couldn’t believe that God could help them conquer the promise land. God decided to raise up a generation that would believe him and trust that when He said he would do it there was not doubt about it. Story of Moses sending out the 10 spies in to the Promised Land.

Devotion: If You Don’t Know, Ask God!

Sometimes we have so many people coming up to us wanting advice or answers that it is so tempting to make something up. But lets take Moses great example of going to God for an answer instead of making one up on his own.
