Devotion: Your Kids Do Hear

Your kids do in fact hear you! When you get instructions, what you or what you speak over them. You may feel like the don’t listen but when they are faced with situations your voice will be in their head leading them in the choices they make. Esther was raised by Mordecia and even when He wasn’t around she still heard his voice in her head.

Devotion: Put It On Their Heart

God was burdening Nehemiah’s heart to help his people Judah. But it was such a God size task he knew he couldn’t do it alone so Nehemiah asked the Lord to put it on his boss’s King Artaxerxes heart to help him with the task. I have prayed this prayer for years and I have seen God come through more times than I can even count. When God gives us a giant task we can totally pray for God to put it on people’s heart to help.

Devotion: The Lord Searches the Earth

The Lord Searches the Earth looking for a heart fully devoted to him. King Asa started out his reign fully committed to God but along the way his heart turned. He asked another king to help him in battle instead of God like he once did. The Lord is still today looking for a heart fully committed to him

Devotion: Listening to the Older Generation

It’s so important that the younger generation listens to the older generation. There would be a lot less mistakes made if the advice of the older wiser generation was heeded. Devotion: Sinning But Only So Far

It when you know you shouldn’t sin so you only do it a little bit or only in a certain area but honor God in other areas. Solomon knew he should not have married foreign wives but he did it any way. Solomon did have his limits and convictions so he was sinning but only so far.

Devotion: Trusting in Numbers

Trusting in Numbers is when we trust in things or people more than God. David wanted to do a census of his fighting men instead of trusting God who had given him numerous victorious on the battle field. God longs for us to trust him over anything this world can offer and at the end of the day he is more trust worthy than anything we could put our trust in.

Devotion: Ask God for Advice

King David made it a habit through out his life to ask God for advice. And the Lord wants us to do the same. God is all knowing and he is so generous when we ask for advice, wisdom, counsel, etc. 1 Chronicles 14

Devotion: Confirmation

God will send confirmation to confirm that what he spoke over us either will happen or that we are in the right place at the right time just like he did for David when he became King. God loves confirming His message to you. He did it for me when the Lord told my husband and I to start giving groceries away once a month. If he confirmed the word He spoke over me God will confirm things for you too.
1 Chronicles 14

Devotion: Signs of the Times

God wants to speak to us about the future so we know how to make the right decisions when the time comes. It was spoken about David over and over again that he would anointed king. Not everyone recognized when the time came but a couple of groups did. One of those groups being the tribe of Issachar all because they recognized the signs of the times.
