Devotion: Right in Our Own Eyes

When we don’t have God’s truth or a standard to live by then we will do what is right in our own eyes. And it can get pretty bizarre, pretty quickly. The book of Judges has some very weird and horrible things that went on that does not make sense until you read at the end of the book it says “They did what was right in their own eyes.”

Devotion: Don’t Let Your Past Dictate Who You Were Meant to Be

Don’t Let your Past Dictate Who You Were Meant To Be! Whether it is something out of your control or something you did that was straight up dumb. Let what God says about you matter. Jephthah had a bad past and people hated him for it. But it didn’t stop him from the calling God had on his life
Judges 11

Devotion: Giving All Glory To God

God is going to ask you to do things, ON HIS TERMS, that will be humanly impossible. Why? Because He wants all the glory and for you not to take any credit for your success or victory. God asked Gideon to do the impossible. To take a tiny pitiful in number army and attack the huge Mideonite army.
Judges 7

Devotion: Family Won’t Always Agree

When God asks us to do things it doesn’t mean everyone agree and that includes our family. It is hard not having your family on board with you let alone doing God’s will. Gideon knew what it felt like to not have his family agree with what the Lord was asking him to do. But he did it any way.
Judges 6

Devotion: Trusting Man Over God

It is so much easier to trust what man says or trust in man over trusting God. It is hard but the Lord still wants us to trust in Him when he says do something. Coming from the story of Deborah and Barak, in the book of Judges.
Judges 4

Devotion: Teaching the Next Generation

Our actions say a lot but if people don’t know why we are doing what we are doing then they can be misunderstood. It is important to teach our children and those who God has placed in our lives about who God is and our experiences with the Lord. Joshua and the Israelites in his generation served and worshiped the Lord but after they all died the next generation neither knew God or what he had done for Joshua and his generation. WHAT!!!! We need to be deliberate in teaching the next generation

Devotion: Seeing Every Promise From God Come to Pass

On Joshua’s death bed he proclaimed “We have seen every single promise from God come to pass.” I know on my death bed I want to say that.
When God gives you a promise you need to ask Him this question . . . Check out the video to find out.
Joshua 23

Devotion: Wholeheartedly Following God

When we Wholeheartedly Follow God it will pour out in our actions and words. The condition of your heart will reflect in your actions. Caleb was a man that wholeheartedly followed God no matter what and it showed in everything he did. God wants us to have a heart fully devoted to Him. He wants us to give him our whole heart! Where is your heart in regards to the Lord?
Joshua 14

Devotion: Not Asking God For Counsel

In life you will have decisions that can be made and even if you look at it from every angle there are things you don’t know. It is so important we ask God for his advice. He knows what is best and which way we should go. Joshua and the Israelites had a decision that was before them but instead of asking God what they should do they looked at all the evidence and made their own decision which turned out awful in short term and long run.
Joshua 9

Devotion: Faith of a Prostitute

If God can use a prostitute to spare the lives of two Israelite spies, save herself, save her family and be in the linage of Jesus then God can use anyone to further His kingdom and bring people to know Him. Come from the story of Rahab who hid the two Israeli spies.
