Devotion: Meditating on God’s Word

Meditating on God’s Word is not only biblical but such a great tool to use to understand more what the Bible says and to learn more about who God is. Today’s video we do a little exercise on meditating on the verse of the day to help you know what it looks like

Devotional: God is Good, Loving, Faithful

Like the Psalmist said God is good, God’s love endures forever and the Lord is faithful from generation to generation. In this devotion we dive a bit more into those three descriptions of God. Psalm 100

Devotion: Challenging God

When we are in pain, sorrow, or just have a lot of why questions we can start to challenge, blame, or manipulate God. For Job it couldn’t get worse and so with his words he started to challenge the Lord. Well the Lord had some pretty hard questions for Job.
Job 28

Devotion: Delay Recognition

When you do something so right or say something on point but you don’t get promoted, praise, or recognized like you should. Just know that God is in control and delaying it for the right time. Mordecai saved the king from assassination but didn’t get recognized for a while after it happened. But when He did it literally saved his life.
Esther 6

Devotion: Your Kids Do Hear

Your kids do in fact hear you! When you get instructions, what you or what you speak over them. You may feel like the don’t listen but when they are faced with situations your voice will be in their head leading them in the choices they make. Esther was raised by Mordecia and even when He wasn’t around she still heard his voice in her head.
Esther 2

Devotion: Understanding God’s Word

It’s not enough for us to know what is in the Bible (though we should) we need to understand it’s meaning. After Nehemiah and the Jews completed the wall they had a time of rejoicing with a feast and reading the book of the law. But the leaders didn’t just read it they explained the meaning as well.
Nehemiah 8

Devotion: Taking Out the Leader

The enemy hates the move of God and will stop at nothing to cease what the Lord is doing through people. The enemies of the Jews hated the wall of Jerusalem being built. The first tried to stop the group from rebuilding and when that didn’t work they went after Nehemiah the leader. If they could take out Nehemiah surely they could stop the wall from being built. Satan is the same way. He hates the move of God and if he can’t stop it as a whole he will go after those who are leading the charge
Nehemiah 6

Devotion: Pushing Through Opposition

Nehemiah and the Jews not only faced opposition but they pushed through it! When God gives us a task it doesn’t mean it is going to be easy but are WE willing to push through and see it to full fruition?
Nehemiah 4

Devotion: Doing Something About It

If you spend any time at all with the Lord He will start to burden your heart for a people group, or city, country, social injustice, SOMETHING! Nehemiah was burdened for his people in Judah and the state they were in. He didn’t wait around for someone else to do something about it He asked God to use him. God burden your heart for a reason so JUST DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! 😀
Nehemiah 1

Devotion: Facing Opposition

Devotion: Facing Opposition
When you do God’s will you WILL face opposition. The people of Judah faced opposition just by saying no to a group of people. Don’t be surprised, most likely opposition will come but what are you going to do when it happens?
Ezra 4
